Appropriately, eight of the products in the 21-piece collaboration are devoted to achieving the perfect red lip, including three ridiculously pretty matte lipsticks inspired by Old Hollywood actresses (think: Monroe, Bacall, and Hayworth). For someone who always looks so perfect, we had to ask: How does one still eat, drink, and talk all while keeping her red lipstick completely intact? While the new colors have a matte finish and are thus meant to last, Dellal also shared this genius trick (which she used for her wedding!): Just apply a base of (a highly pigmented lip cream) underneath your lipstick and it'll have industrial-strength staying power. 'You can kiss all day and the color won't come off,' she says.

6:30 P.M.:I left work to meet my friend, and the color was still looking great, despite the fact that I somehow polished off a liter of water between the application and leaving my computer. 7:30 P.M.: I ordered a kale salad and a spicy margarita. Admittedly, not the messiest meal, but it's my favorite. Despite a little color worn off on the straw, no messy lipstick trail so far. 8 P.M.: Checked my reflection. Still bright! 9:30 P.M.: Leaving dinner, the lipstick was all over my napkin, but the Lipmix underneath left a pretty stain on my lips, and I didn't have that unfortunate fade in the center of my lips.

Other than getting lipstick all over your teeth, a faded center has to be by far the biggest risk when wearing bright shades. All in all, a total lipstick win.

The MAC Charlotte Olympia collection is one of the more interestingly packaged collections from MAC that I have seen in awhile. The limited edition collection has some gorgeous lip products, nail polishes, and a really cute compact, along with other items. I like the look of the lipsticks. There are also three nail polishes. I like the packaging of these, although I’m not sure I love the pointy top in terms of easy storage. I need to see these in person to decide on that.
