GameRanger is an application that allows you to create and join multiplayer games for more than 600 different videogames. You'll find all kind of games, from the most famous ones like World of Warcraft III, Heroes of Might & Magic 3, Starcraft, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Borderlands. To other les-known like Outwars or The Art of Magic. Using the program is very easy, you only have to have the game you want to play installed and select one of the open games in the list. Of course, you can create a new game and invite your friends. GameRanger is a very useful application for all those gamers who love playing online because it makes things easier.

. Added bypassing of modems and routers so that no configuration / port forwarding is needed to host or join games. It is a good update for the router reason alone. Only thing is if your a CoD:UO player and join like I do thru GR then u r kinda screwed since it doesn't let u join them anymore it just takes u to the main menu in UO.

Any one have an different results? I got a few people to test CoD:UO since the update and it's working fine for them. Was this happening for you before the update? Or have you only tried recently? Also, please send any bug reports or problems via email. I won't always notice the forum posts here. I love Gameranger, but can't host a CoD listen server game in the 'CoD servers' folder with the other servers.

(Host Game is greyed out.) I can only host in it's parent 'directory'. This has to be something very simple. What am I missing?

Also, how can I host a dedicated server visible through Gameranger? What I need is a link to educate me on this kind of info, which I haven't been able to find. Much appreciated.Curtis This is a pretty old thread to dig up - over a year old - but the 'Call of Duty Servers' folder is for dedicated servers only. If you're hosting a listen server (ie. One that you'll be playing in as well as hosting) in GameRanger, you host it as a game room, and it won't appear in the dedicated servers list. This is intentional because the point of game rooms is so you can control who has access to your game (eg. Passwords, buddies-only, anyone-not-blocked, etc).

If you want to host a dedicated server to appear in 'Call of Duty Servers,' you can do that by going into the game itself and hosting a dedicated server. It will appear in GameRanger's dedicated server list after a few minutes or so. There won't be much to distinguish it from the other 1300 servers though, and you are more likely to see just PC users joining.
