This was confirmed in an email late Friday night from one of your Board members to our Board Chairman. Yet you still have not made a new proposal. To reduce clutter on the subreddit, we've decided to come up with a biweekly for sale and want to buy thread. Since we started a little late this month, this one will last for the entire month.
I typically don't care for that either, DigThatBeat. However, with Marilyn, I can give it some leeway because she's such an iconic figure. I like the idea of cosmetics inspired by her look. Hopefully there'll be some nice vintage colors in the collection! MAC comes out with special collections every 30 seconds and so many of them are just blah.
I hope this one is truly different. They desperately need to come out with a Dita von Teese collection, but that's another topic. I read that Estee Lauder is also going to do something with a Mad Men theme in the fall. Should be interesting! Click to expand.I don't mind it at all if it is done tastefully - I think it says a lot about Marilyn's timeless appeal and popularity that she continues to sell things (more books have been written about her than WW2 according to Billy Wilder!) - personally I love the fact that she still has such a huge following - hopefully the collection will be befitting her memory! Fortworthgal - I hope so too - MAC make great cosmetics with good pigmentation so it's worth paying that little extra I reckon.
